RIFT is about the quiet heroism of necessity: carrying water, carrying expectations, carrying the weight of an entire family before you've even become a man. Set high above Kenya's Great Rift Valley, the film follows a boy whose world is marked by poverty but whose spirit remains stubbornly untouched by it. Sometimes courage doesn't announce itself. Sometimes it simply wakes up before dawn.
